The Lasermet LS-300 Series of Large Aperture Laser Safety Beam Shutters are intended to provide a means of preventing accidental exposure to potentially harmful laser beam. The laser shutters larger proportions can handle considerably higher laser powers.
The LS-200 is Lasermet’s large aperture beam dump in the LS-20 Series. Capable of achieving PL’e’ safety rating to ISO EN ISO 13849-1 PL ‘e’ or IEC 61508-1 SIL 3.

The Lasermet LS-30 Series of Laser Safety Beam Shutters are intended to provide a means of preventing accidental exposure to potentially harmful laser beams. Compared to the previous LS-20 Series of beam shutters, the LS-30 Series can be mounted in any direction.
The LS- range of laser beam shutters are combined shutters and beam dumps designed to be driven by a safety control system such as the Lasermet’s Interlock® controller for use as a means of shutting down the laser beam automatically during unauthorised access, or manually when the beam is not required. They can also be used as stand-alone laser shutters for manual or remote switching of the laser beam.
Gravity-operated for fail safe control
Combined shutter and laser beam dump for added safety
Compatible with interlocked safety control systems
Safety latch prevents accidental laser beam switch on
The dual channel BD-AC-DC beam dump is compatible with SIL-rated laser shutter LS-20SIL and LS-30SIL. When the shutter is closed, the shutter deflects the incoming laser beam towards its beam dump.
Single Channel Beam Dump for LS-20 and LS-30 Shutters
The standard BD-AC beam dump is compatible with the single channel laser shutter LS-20 and LS-30. When the shutter is closed, the shutter deflects the incoming laser beam towards its beam dump port.
Lasermet’s air-cooled laser beam dump uses convection cooling to absorb laser beam energy when connected to a laser beam shutter. The air cooling system aids in absorbing beam energy and dissipates more laser power than a shutter itself.
A built-in temperature monitor is included in the upgraded models.
Lasermet’s water-cooled beam dump uses a closed loop water supply system for absorbing high-power laser beam energy.
This beam dump is designed to be used in conjunction with a suitable laser beam shutter. When the shutter is closed, the incoming laser beam is deflected towards its beam dump port.
The WIFE is an automatic Warning Sign that shows which laser wavelengths are in use in the laboratory, so you can select the correct laser protective eyewear before entering.
