Self-built Laser Blocking Solution

The Dolphin Laser Safety Curtain Pod is built from Lasermet’s Dolphin Laser Blocking Curtain material – certified to EN 12254 Screens for Laser Working Places.

The Dolphin Pod consists of a modular free-standing structure that supports laser blocking curtains to enable users of handheld laser welding devices to work without endangering surrounding workers from stray laser radiation. It is supplied as a low-cost, self-assembly pod in flat-pack form to enable easy transport and assembly by the customer. This means that it can also be disassembled and rebuilt in a different location quickly and easily if required.

The standard enclosure is a 2.4m (8ft) cube with a manually-operated curtain door and an open roof for ventilation.

Interlock® Options

The Dolphin Pod comes with an Interlock® upgrade option complete with safety interlock switches, dual-message LED warning sign, and emergency stops – all linked to a Lasermet Interlock® Controller.

DIMENSIONS

The standard Dolphin Pod enclosures come in a 2.4 x 2.4 x 2.4m (8ft) cube. The modular system allows for multiple Dolphin Pods to be connected to create a larger enclosed working area.

One side of the Dolphin Pod acts as an access door which includes an interlock switch that disables the laser if it is open or unlocked. The LED warning sign displays the laser status.
