Laser Safety Blinds

Laser safety blinds, also known as laser safety shades or laser-blocking blinds, are engineered to provide protection against stray or diffuse laser radiation in controlled environments.

These passive laser guards are essential in facilities where high-powered Class 3B and Class 4 lasers are in operation, helping to maintain a safe working environment and support compliance with laser safety standards.

Laser blinds are typically used in: Research and development laboratories, Medical and surgical laser suites, Industrial laser processing facilities, and University and academic laser labs.

    Protection from Stray Laser Radiation

Most Class 4 and many Class 3B lasers present an eye hazard over very long distances. Ordinary blinds are rarely capable of stopping a laser beam, so specially designed laser blocking blinds are required.

Our laser safe blinds are made using Lasermet’s specially developed laser blocking Orca material, which is certified to BS EN IEC 60825-4 Safety of Laser Products – Part 4: Laser Guards.
