The Storm Door Controller is compatible with all Lasermet doors from standard enclosure doors to industrial use doors. The Storm Door Controller can easily integrate into Lasermet’s laser interlock system or other external PLCs and controllers.

Description
Universal Door Controller
The Storm Universal Door Controller system allows users to fully control and monitor the door status when integrated into an interlock system. The system has several safety features:
- Light Curtain – detect the presence of individuals and obstructions near doors.
- Bump strip – door will automatically stop on contact with an obstruction.
- Access Control – easily integrate with access control systems to manage and restrict entry.
- Emergency Stop – immediately cease door movement during emergency.
- LED Indicators – provide real-time status of the safety inputs.
- Interlock System compatibility – endless options with expansion cards.
- Adjustable Speed – users can set the required speed at Lasermet factory or on-site.
CALM System Upgrade
The Storm Universal Door Controller can be connected to Lasermet’s CaLM Control and Laser Monitoring System.
When connected, the user can view the safety input status in a large screen along with other interlock systems in a laser controlled area.
Standard and Industrial Doors
The Storm Universal Door Controller is compatible with all of Lasermet’s standard door options from sliding doors to roll-up doors.
Sliding Doors
Standard sliding doors are available as built-in additions to the Laser Castle® laser safety cabins. The Passive Guarding panel material is certified to BS EN IEC 60825-4.
Several door options are available to suit a variety of applications:
- Single Sliding Door

G-autodoor
The G-autodoor is a laser safety Guilltoine door capable of withstanding direct hits from Class 4 lasers. The door is made from Lasermet’s certified laser blocking material. This makes it ideal for manufacturing environments where laser processing applications are used, as well as for indoor industrial applications that have frequent high-speed traffic, such as conveyor belt systems.
Falcon Active Speed Door
The Falcon Roll-up Door is an industrial door ideal for manufacturing and laser processing applications, including outdoor logistics that have frequent high-speed traffic.
For laser processing applications, the Falcon Door can be fitted with the Laser Jailer® Active Laser Guarding System comprising of flexible circuits which are monitored by the laser interlock controller.
