Air-cooled Laser Beam Dump
BD-AC-16 and BD-AC-16TR
Lasermet’s air-cooled laser beam dump uses convection cooling to absorb laser beam energy when connected to a laser beam shutter. The air cooling system aids in absorbing beam energy and dissipates more laser power than a shutter itself.
A built-in temperature monitor is included in the upgraded models.
Description
Air-cooled Laser Beam Dump for Lasermet Shutters
Lasermet’s air-cooled beam dump is designed to be used with a suitable laser beam shutter with an aperture of 16mm. Lasermet’s air-cooled beam dump is intended to absorb and dissipate laser energy deflected from a laser shutter through convection cooling.
Temperature Read-out Monitor
The BD-AC-16 can be upgraded with a built-in temperature read-out which allows users to monitor beam dump’s temperature during operation. To start operation connect a power supply to the power terminal port of the beam dump using a DC cable. The temperature unit can be in Celsius (°C) or Fahrenheit (°F).
Shutter Compatibility
The BD-AC-16 Series is compatible with the Lasermet’s series of laser beam shutters. These laser shutter are fitted with a stainless steel blade and can be factory fitted with mirror, ceramic and copper blade options when needed.

LS-20 High Integrity Laser Shutters
The LS-20 features a gravity-close blade and force-disconnect proving contacts.
LS-30 Series of Laser Shutters
The LS-30 features a spring-loaded blade that allows mounting different orientations.
