Lasermet Hosts Global Distributor Conference in Cebu, Philippines

From September 24–26, 2025, Lasermet held a successful and productive Distributor Conference at our Research and Development office in Cebu, Philippines. The event was attended by Lasermet directors Paul Tozer and Steve Geldard, along with distributors from across the globe, including representatives from Lastek (Australia), Laser2000 (Europe), Intech (Japan), and Lasernet (South Korea).

In addition, distributors got an exclusive first look at upcoming products ICS-Magellan and ICS-Touch II. These innovations represent years of expertise in laser safety, keeping Lasermet at the forefront of product development. A live demonstration kit was presented to show how these new interlock controllers operate and integrate into various industry applications.
First Look at the Laser Laboratory
A highlight of the event was the tour of Lasermet’s new Laser Laboratory, fully equipped with interlock controllers and systems. The lab provided a working overview of a functional interlock set-up, featuring Interlock Controllers, the CaLM System, Active Guarding, and Industrial Doors.
The centerpiece of the lab was the CaLM System, which utilizes touchscreen technology to continuously monitor and display the real-time status of all connected interlocks. This hands-on demonstration allowed distributors to see the system in action and understand its role in enhancing laser safety.
Knowledge Sharing and Collaboration
Beyond product presentations, the conference created opportunities for meaningful discussions between Lasermet engineers and distributors. Attendees gained insights into the design and development process of our products and explored how they function both individually and as part of a complete system.
