Description

Touchscreen Interface Interlock® Controller

The ICS-Magellan is an advanced all-in-one laser interlock system engineered for complex systems. Built on the proven ICS-9 platform, the ICS-Magellan combines centralized safety monitoring, touchscreen control, and fail-safe hardware interlock architecture in a single integrated system capable of achieving up to Performance Level ‘e’ (PLe) in accordance with ISO 13849-1. It integrates laser safety status, interlock monitoring, and control functions into a single touchscreen interface, enabling operators to individually monitor and control interlock outputs for greater operational flexibility.

The centralized architecture also reduces wiring complexity and installation time, particularly in multi-laboratory, multi-laser, and active guarding installations. Expandable modules allow additional inputs, outputs, and distributed control boxes to be integrated into the system, providing scalable architecture and simplified installation for complex multi-zone laser environments.

Hardware Fail-Safe Interlock Architecture

The ICS-Magellan combines advanced hardware and software design with a hardware-only safety interlock architecture, ensuring all critical safety functions remain independent of software and operating systems.

Keycard Restricted Access

It has an integrated keycard system that provides an additional layer of security by restricting unauthorised access to controls.

Compatible with CaLM System

Fully compatible with Lasermet’s CALM System. The CALM interface can display a 3D representation of the user’s laboratory, active guarding panels, and system logic diagrams.

Individual Control for Outputs and Shutter

Supports up to three (3) independently controlled interlock outputs and one (1) laser beam shutter. The interlock outputs and shutter can be controlled via the touchscreen interface.
