Safety Controls for X-ray Systems
Lasermet’s ICS-TOUCH Interlock® controller from Lasermet is a high-performance Interlock® control system that is ideal for use with X-RAY sets. It is an essential component of the engineering controls required to restricting ionizing radiation exposure.
Before allowing the laser to be enabled, the ICS-TOUCH Interlock® controller monitors all connected interlock inputs to confirm, or not, if the doors and contacts are closed.
Interlock® System
The ICS-TOUCH continuously monitors the status of all interlocks, emergency stops, mismatch detectors, and displays laser warning messages.
The status of up to four separate inter-lock inputs is represented by ‘door’ icons that change color depending on the state.
The status of the emergency stop input is displayed in the same way, with a ‘mush-room button’ icon.
The Laser Interlock® Controller includes a proving circuit that guarantees the system is safe before attempting to arm it.
All the safety circuits are dual-channel with mismatch detection. If their states differ, this indicates a fault – typically one contact of a door switch may not be closing.
Operation of the controller is restricted by a keypad code to prevent unauthorized access.
