Secure Access to Laser Rooms<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The ICS-KP23 Keypad is intended to be used in conjunction with Lasermet\u2019s Laser Interlock\u00ae Systems for the purpose of inhibiting access to hazardous areas by unauthorized persons. This refers to individuals without the necessary training and personal protective equipment for the laser-controlled area.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

Override Functions<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The ICS-KP23 Keypad comes with an override timer function, which is of a dual-channel crosschecked configuration, designed to achieve a safety performance level of PL \u2018e\u2019 to EN 13849 when correctly wired to a suitable interlock system.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A standard Lasermet Interlock\u00ae System will shut off the laser when a door or other interlock switch is opened. However, implementing a door override allows users to enter and exit a laser-controlled area while the lasers are active and without tripping the system. To override the system, users must key in the correct code onto the ICS-KP23 Keypad triggering a time-limited door override (usually 10-15 seconds).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Users can select between a Global Override<\/strong> or a Local Override<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

GLOBAL OVERRIDE<\/h5>\n\n\n\n

A global override means that when the system is overriden, all the doors connected to the Interlock\u00ae System may be opened or closed without tripping the laser.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

LOCAL OVERRIDE<\/h5>\n\n\n\n

In contrast, during a local override only one door is overriden and may be opened without tripping the laser. All the other doors must remain closed.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n
