Usually fitted into the panels or doors of the Laser Castle Laser Safety Cabin, the Glaser Jailer Active Laser Safety Window is connected to the Interlock\u00ae<\/sup> Control System to enable laser operations to be viewed safely from outside the cabin.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This enables high-power multi-kilowatt lasers (up to 10kW) used for welding, cutting and cladding to be viewed from a safe vantage point\u2014 preventing harm to personnel and preventing damage to surrounding infrastructure. The Glaser Jailer window is suitable for all laser powers, wavelengths and waveforms.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Active Guarding Window Technology<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Integrated with the Lasermet Laser Jailer\u00ae<\/sup> Active Guarding System<\/a>, it provides a complete active window solution. Currently in operation worldwide, this revolutionary active patented technology is already tested and proven.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Glaser Jailer windows are constantly monitored by the Interlock\u00ae<\/sup>\u00a0control system when the laser is in operation. A direct hit by a powerful laser will cause the window to activate the Interlock\u00ae<\/sup>\u00a0controller which then turns the laser off. This failsafe technology isolates the laser safety input in\u00a0less than 25ms<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Glaser Jailer window should be replaced following a direct hit, following an investigation into the cause of the direct hit and when corrective measures have been taken to prevent it from happening again.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Certified Laser Safety<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Glaser Jailer Active Windows can be incorporated into, and form part of, a certified Class 1 Laser Enclosure (for multi-kW Class 4 lasers) conforming to BS EN IEC 60825-4<\/strong>: Safety of laser products \u2013 Part 4: Laser guards.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
