The laser beam is converted into heat and emitted from the shutter case. These shutters are compatible with lasers up to maximum of 20W average power.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:20px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Operating Logic<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Unless power is supplied, the shutters will not open. When power is applied, a yellow LED illuminates to indicate that power is available. When the shutter is fully closed, a green LED will illuminate. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The green button must be pressed to open the shutter. When the shutter is fully open, the green LED will turn off and an orange LED will illuminate. By pressing the red button or turning off the power, the shutter can be closed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Opening any laboratory door without using the override will result in the shutter closing, preventing unprotected individuals from being exposed to laser radiation. If your power supply is 18-24 VDC or similar, Lasermet offers the LS voltage converter (Part no. LS-VC-24.12), which allows for operation from 15 to 35 VDC.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:20px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<h5 class=\"wp-block-heading\">REMOTE SWITCHING STATION<\/h5>\n\n\n\n<p>The Remote Switching Station (Part No. LS-RS) can be used to open and close the shutter remotely when the LS-10-12 and LS-100-12 laser shutters are used in an enclosure and the buttons cannot be accessed, or for other remote switching requirements.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Alternatively, the LS-10-12 laser shutters can be shifted into &#8216;switch bypass mode&#8217; by modifying some internal links on the PCB inside the shutter. When the power is turned on, the shutter opens immediately and closes when the power is turned off.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:20px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<h5 class=\"wp-block-heading\">REMOTE INTERLOCK<sup>\u00ae<\/sup>&nbsp;BOARD<\/h5>\n\n\n\n<p>An optional Interlock\u00ae board (LS-10-IB) can be installed, providing two volt-free contacts, one normally open and one normally closed, that can be used to Interlock\u00ae another device to the shutter status.
