Laser Blocking Roller Blinds

We manufacture and supply laser safety roller blinds for Operating Theatre Windows and windows in doors in Operating Theatres. The silicone rubber coating (no latex) blocks laser beams of all wavelengths and covers all fabric, creating a hygienically sealed material suitable for use in Operating Theatres. All roller blinds are CE marked and certified to EN 60825-4 'Safety of Laser Products Part 4 - Laser Guards'. The roller blinds are made to measure to fit any size of window.

The roller blind is built into a white finish aluminium frame, which encapsulates the top, both edges and bottom of the blind. This eliminates any possibility of laser beams passing round the sides of the blind. All roller blinds are made to measure and are CE marked and certified to EN 60825-4 'Safety of Laser Products Part 4 - Laser Guards'.

Remote controlled electrical operation - or manual control

The roller blinds can be operated either manually using a safety pull chain or crank handle, or they can be operated remotely using a wireless switch. Several roller blinds can be operated simultaneously if required.

The motors for the roller blinds are powered by 24V, or 230V AC in the case of larger blinds.

An interlock option is available on the roller blinds so that they will only allow the laser in the theatre to be used once the blinds have been closed. The connections are made to the interlock controller which forms part of the overall certified laser safety interlock control system.
